1. Executive Summary
This paper first review the main methodological approaches and methods, then do self-diagnosis of research methods, at last summarize the research approaches applied. This study employs documentary research as the primary research method, it also employs two supplementary research methods: qualitative interview and qualitative media content analysis. Documentary research could help the author to piece together the tendencies and patterns of the events and issues unfolding in American media industry. And the data from two supplementary research approaches would be good supplement data.
