Woodland Hall has been run for 30 years as a rural hotel with a reputation for providing an excellent, exclusive, and very expensive service at the upper end of the market. It has superbfacilities- swimming pools (indoors and outdoors), tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, a ballroom and substantial modren technology gym. In ecent years, however, there has been a steady decline in the number of guests and market research strongly suggests that, in order to survive, Woodland Hall needs to broaden its appeal. Whilst retaining its reputation for quality and exclusivity research suggests that it should promote itself much more widely as a leisure complex and should also offer special interest hoildays (sports coaching, countryside activities, creative writing, family weekends, and dining and entertainment facilities for nonresident groups such as weddings etc.
