3. ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Students have the right to choose their advisor who is interested in the thesis or research area. If students cannot find advisors by themselves, the program director will appoint thesis advisor for them. Students must have their own advisor before the approval of thesis proposal. The steps of forming the thesis advisor are presented as follows:-
3.1 A student must choose a thesis advisor from the specified faculty list.
3.2 Student has to submit and get approved thesis topic from his/her advisor.
3.3 Through the recommendation of the advisor, the program director will approve or appoint the advisory committee (including a thesis co-advisor, if required).
3.4 If the student chooses a part-time faculty member to be his/her advisor, he/she has to choose a full-time faculty member to be his/her co-advisor through the advisor.
3.5 The advisory committee must scrutinize and approve the thesis proposal. Then, the program director will appoint a thesis e英语论文网 【http://www.51lunwen.org】xamination committee which comprises of at least four members, including:
 The advisor and an advisory committee; and
 A representative from the Ministry of University Affairs

A student must select an advisor with Ph.D. or Associate Professorship who may be:
a) A full-time faculty member of the faculty of science and technology
b) A part-time faculty member of the faculty of science and technology
c) A full-time or part-time faculty member of other graduate programs at XXX university
d) A qualified person from outside XXX university, with approval from the program director

A full-time faculty member of the faculty of science and technology must be appointed by the program director as a co-advisor, in case the student selects the thesis advisor as given in item b, c, or d above.

When, in the opinion of the thesis advisor, a student is ready to defend his/her thesis, he/she shall make known his/her intention to the program director through the advisor. Note that the entire thesis must be completed under supervision of the same advi¬sor.

4. STEPS TOWARD THESIS COMPLETION
Following are the recommended steps toward the completion of the thesis:
