 a detailed description of, and justification for, the research methodology and the specific research methods proposed by the student including, where appropriate, reasons for not choosing other techniques;

  an indication of the likely data inputs required for the purposes of the research process proposed, together with an indication of the principal primary and secondary sources of the required data;

 a clear breakdown of the work involved in researching the chosen topic ( as envisaged by the student at this stage ) with timelines indicated;

 clear evidence of the student’s harnessing of project management techniques for the purposes of the proposed research ( including the use of project management software applications such as ‘ MS project’);

 an appropriate ( and correctly referenced ) List of Reference/ Bibliography reflecting the student’ s preliminary research into the topic involved topic ( including web page addresses in respect of material sourced from the ‘ internet’).

5. Requirements for the PowerPoint Presentation:

The Presentation must:

1. be submitted in both hardcopy and software format ( but not by way of e-mail) and be appended to the formal Reasearch Dissertation Proposal referred 英语论文网 【http://www.51lunwen.org】to in Section 4 above ( preferably in a sealed transparent folder)

2. Contain no more than 15 individual slides

3. be no longer than 750 words in length

4. effectively summaries the student’s formal research dissertation proposal in manner designed to convey the key points involved in a format that will facilitate assessment of, and feedback to the student on, the proposal by the Module Leaders involved/Dissertation Coordinator;

5. also contain:

 an appropriate Title Page identifying the student number, programmme, modules, assignment number, and slide and word-count involved;

 a clear statement of the objectives of the presentation;

 a List of References/Bibliography in respect of the student’s preliminary research into the chosen topic( including web page addresses in respect of material sourced from the ‘ internet’); and

 a Gantt Chart showing the work breakdown structure and timelines proposed.

6. Marking of the Assignment:

Marks for the assignment will be awarded as follows:

 Formal Research Dissertation Proposal: up to 80 marks, including up to 10 marks in respect of the quality of the preliminary research underlying the proposal ( including the quality of the academic referencing involved);
