The Assignment is primarily intended to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their learning from the above related course modules in terms of:

1. their practical understanding of the key elements of the research process and its associated methodologies and methods(especially the ability to critically assess the merits of different research designs in a given context);and
2. the key skills underlying the project management process as they apply in the areas of international business and academic research

While at the same time producing an output(a dissertation proposal) that significantly advances their research dissertation process.

Students can demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes being tested in the above respects through:

2. the preparation, submission and delivery of a PowerPoint presentation on that proposal in the format specified in Section 5 below.

4. Requirements for Formal Research Dissertation Proposal:
The Proposal Must:

1. be submitted in hard copy format, not by e-mail or in software format
2. be in typed print, in font size 12, on A4 size paper
3. be between 3000-3500 words in length ( excluding Appendices and genuine footnotes)
4. contain the following minimum elements:

 an appropriate Title Page identifying the student number, programmme, modules, assignment number, and word-count involved;

 a duly signed and dated Anti-Plagiarism Declaration Form in the required format ( available separately );

 a Table of Contents ( with page numbers indicated, and , if relevant, appendix numbers );
